Combine almonds, butter, wafers, and almond extract. Cover bottom of 8-inch square pan with half the crumb mixture. Cover with 1/2 of ice cream, and 1/2 of preserves. Add half of remaining crumbs, remaining ice cream, and remaining preserves. Top with remaining crumbs. Freeze. Remove from freezer 15 minutes before serving. Cut into squares. Makes 10–12 servings.
