Blackberry-Banana Ice Cream

Blackberry-Banana Ice Cream

Yield:  3 servings
Serving Size: 1 cup

The rich purple color of blackberries is the result of flavonoids, which may help in the fight against cancer and heart disease.  This healthy combination is a good source of dietary fiber and vitamin B6.

2 frozen bananas, sliced into 1/4-inch pieces before freezing
1 cup frozen blackberries
1 tablespoon wheat germ
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup milk

Add all ingredients to a food processor; pulse until blended and creamy.  This process requires stopping and stirring a few times and may take 23 minutes to fully blend ingredients. 
Serve ice cream immediately . . . do NOT freeze.
