A very decadent treat with desserts.
4 cups hot strong coffee
½ cup sugar
1 quart milk
2 pints half-and-half
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ teaspoon almond extract
1 gallon coffee ice cream, softened
1 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
1 pint heavy cream, whipped
For garnish: maraschino cherries with stems
Dissolve sugar in coffee. Stir in milk, half-and-half, vanilla, and almond extract. Pour over ice creams. Cover with whipped cream. Garnish with cherries and mint.
Yield: about 40 cups
