Fresh Cilantro Salsa

Yield: 2 1/2 cups   
Serving size: 1/2 cup

Fresh salsa is a beautiful thing.  Exceptionally low in sodium, saturated fat and cholesterol, it’s also a great source for fiber, phosphorus, vitamins A,C,K, and B6!  So dig in with some healthy, whole grain crackers for a delicious and nutritious snack.

2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion red onion
1/2 cup chopped, fresh cilantro
8 garlic cloves, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Jalapeño pepper (optional and according to taste)

Mix all ingredients together and serve.
