Gold Leaf Pecans

Gold Leaf Pecans

These are the ultimate treat!

cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

teaspoon salt

teaspoon each: nutmeg, allspice, and cloves

1 egg white

2 teaspoons water

8 cups pecan halves

teaspoon edible gold leaf

Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Combine sugar, spices, egg white, and water in a zipper bag. Add pecans, and coat well. Spread on lightly greased, foil-lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with gold leaf. Bake for 5055 minutes. Stir occasionally. Remove and cool on wax paper.
