Lime and Cumin Black Beans
This is that “something different” side dish you’ve been looking for. Squeeze a little fresh lime juice over the top right before serving, and enjoy the explosion of flavor!
1/2 cup black beans
11/2 cups low-sodium chicken broth, no sugar added
Juice of 1 lime
Zest of 1 lime
1 medium rib celery, sliced thin
1 tablespoon ground cumin
Combine all ingredients in slow cooker, cover, and cook on LOW for 10–12 hours, or until beans are soft and cooked through.
