Luscious Chocolate Cake

4 ounces unsweetened chocolate     
1/3 cup butter or margarine   
1 3/4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour   
1 1/2 cups sugar   
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda    
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups dairy sour cream
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

Melt baking chocolate and butter in top of double boiler, or microwave 1 minute on HIGH.  Stir to blend well; cool.  Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl; blend in melted chocolate.  Beat 3 minutes at medium speed.  Pour batter into a 9x13-inch greased and floured pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.  Frost with Chocolate Caramel Frosting.

1/3 cup butter     
1 cup brown sugar, packed     
1/3 cup light cream or evaporated milk
2 ounces semisweet chocolate
2 cups confectionersí sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Melt butter; add brown sugar and light cream.  Bring to boil over low heat, stirring.  Remove from heat.  Add semisweet chocolate, blend until melted.  Pour into bowl.  Cool at room temperature.  Beat in confectionersí sugar and vanilla.  Beat until smooth.  May add milk to thin.  Be sure to cool cake and frosting completely before icing cake.
