2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, divided
3/4 cup butter
10 tablespoons powdered sugar (approximately 2/3 cup)
2 eggs, beaten 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups fresh sliced peaches
Blend 2 cups flour, butter, and powdered sugar together with pastry blender. Pat into a greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake 18–20 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cream together eggs and sugar; add and blend baking soda, salt, vanilla, and remaining flour. Stir in sliced peaches and nuts, if desired. Pour over crust and bake 40–45 minutes in 350-degree oven. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
