Self-Filling Chocolate Chip Cupcakes

1 (18 1/4-ounce) box chocolate or yellow cake mix

Make cake according to package directions. Spoon batter into 24
greased or paper-lined muffin tins, filling 2/3 full.

1 (8-ounce) package cream 
cheese, softened 
1 egg, slightly beaten 
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, egg, and sugar until smooth. Fold
in chips. Drop by tablespoonfuls into batter. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes
or until tests done. Allow to sit for at least 10 minutes before
removing from muffin tin.
