Spicy Raisin Sauce for Ham


1 cup sugar

1/2 cup water

1 cup raisins

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

3 tablespoons vinegar

1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Ground mace (few grains)

Black pepper (few dashes)

1 (10-ounce) jar apple currant jelly

Cook sugar and water together 5 minutes, stirring. Add remaining

ingredients. Serve in sauce boat with your holiday ham.
