Mary Rose Carter (right) is a native of Jackson. She earned an undergraduate degree at Ole Miss and her master's at Delta State.  She lives in Greenwood with her husband, Michael H. Carter, Jr., M.D. and two Border Terriers. Mary Rose is the photographer of Written in the Bricks.
