Laurie Parker
 Since
childhood, Laurie Parker has enjoyed writing rhyming narratives and
creating unique collages by cutting and gluing colored paper, cardboard and mat boards.

Her love of creating eventually led her to write and illustrate ten children's books, including favorites
such as the enchanting story of a lost dog named Skippy, whose master
searches for him Everywhere in Mississippi; the delightful croaking adventures of a funny family of frogs who are hopping All Over Alabama; and her previous editions of the Alphabet Series: Mississippi Alphabet, Louisiana Alphabet, and Texas Alphabet.
Laurie received her B.S. degree in Education in 1985 from Mississippi State University, where she also studied Engineering. Today, she resides in her hometown of Starkville, Mississippi. When not creating children's books, Laurie works as a self-employed artist—crafting a unique line of jewelry, which she sells through galleries and shows throughout the Southeast.
