Aimee Broussard

Aimee BroussardCrafter. Baker. Apron Maker. Award-Winning Cookie Creator.

After graduating from Louisiana College, then working in corporate insurance, Aimee Broussard traded in her successful career for the aprons and ovens, creations and comforts of her kitchen.

Armed with a recipe box full of family favorites, a Kitchen-Aid mixer received as a wedding gift, and a shiny new sewing machine, she set out to master the art of crafting, baking, and apron making. Some days she bakes, some days she crafts, but everyday she creates.

Aimee is the 2013 Dixie Crystals Cookie Bake-Off champion, bringing national recognition to her Pecan Praline King Cake Cookies. In 2014, she co-hosted several Taste of Home Cooking School Live shows spanning Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi, while showcasing her Honey Garlic Meatballs. Later that same year, she made her publishing debut with The Traveling Apron Cookbook, celebrating the friendships created from a spontaneous idea to circulate a handmade apron across the country while swapping recipes with strangers…strangers who would become friends, and friends who would become family.

A network blogger for both Taste of Home and AOL’s Lifestyle Creative, Aimee’s work has been featured in countless publications, both in print and online, including Taste of Home Magazine, Taste of Home’s Canning & Preserving, Woman’s World, Country Living, Today.com, Style Me Pretty and many others. This Fall you can virtually bring Aimee into your home with a series of baking videos produced with the Taste of Home Online Cooking School.

Southern born and raised, Aimee makes her home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with husband Brian and three ridiculously spoiled Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.
